Overtime supplement

An overtime supplement is charged for guide services in excess of eight hours per hour for the first 2 additional hours

A supplement is charged for services rendered between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. (22.00 – 08.00), per hour

Transport supplement

For tours to or from sites outside central Copenhagen (public transport zone 1), a supplement corresponding to 1 hour is charged

In addition, the actual cost of the guide’s transport to/from Copenhagen Central Station has to be paid by the customer.

Please note that Copenhagen Airport is situated outside public transport zone 1

Harbour Supplement

For tours starting or ending at Copenhagen Harbour, a supplement of 1 hour is charged

If a tour starts and ends at Copenhagen Harbour, only 1 additional hour is charged 

Language supplement

When guiding in more than one language, a supplement is charged per additional language for the first 3 hours

Translation supplement

An supplement is charged for translation services

All supplements are to be paid for each commenced hour.

Preparation

When special preparation for a tour is needed at the request of the employer (or the guide), an agreement for special payment must be made based on the hourly rate plus any expenses incurred.

Tours of two or more days

A daily fee corresponding to minimum 8 hours, is charged for tours of two or more days on which the tourist guide functions as the tour leader/tour manager

The tourist guide is entitled to board and lodging (single room with shower) on all tours in excess of one day.

Tourist guide: person who guides visitors in the language of their choice and interprets the cultural and natural heritage of an area, which the person normally possesses an area-specific qualification usually issued and/or recognised by the appropriate authority 

Tour manager: person who manages and supervises the itinerary on behalf of the tour operator, ensuring the program is carried out as described in the tour operator’s literature and sold to the traveller/consumer and who gives local practical information.

Meal allowance

For tours of 5 hours or longer, when no meal is provided free of charge,
the guide is entitled to a meal allowance as follows:

Cancellation fee

In the event of cancellation within 24 hours before the scheduled start of a tour, or in the event of “no-show”, the full amount for the tour must be paid

The starting time of a tour is calculated from 08:00 am on the date booked, unless otherwise agreed at least 72 hours before this time.

Payment

The tourist guide is to be paid in cash before the tour starts unless an alternative agreement is made.

All expenses regarding payment by transfer are to be paid by the customer. When payment is in a currency other than Danish kroner, a fee will be added to the invoice.
